Ross Stores Reports Fourth Quarter and Fiscal 2019 Results Announces 12% Increase in Quarterly Cash Dividend Provides First Quarter and Fiscal 2020 Guidance

(Nasdaq: ROST) today reported earnings per share for the 13 weeks ended February 1, 2020 grew 7% to $1.28 on net income of $456 million. Sales for the fourth quarter of 2019 were $4.4 billion, with comparable store sales up 4% on top of a 4% gain in the prior year period.
For the 2019 fiscal year, earnings per share increased 8% to $4.60, compared to $4.26 in the prior year. Net income for the period was $1.7 billion, up from $1.6 billion last year. Sales for the 2019 year grew 7% to $16.0 billion, with same store sales up 3% on... More
