Auto Stocks Gain as China to Cut Import Tariffs
May 22, 2018 7:56 AM EDTAuto stocks are higher early Tuesday as China said, in a surprise move, it will cut import tariffs for automobiles and car parts.
Import tariffs will be cut to 15 percent from 25 percent for most vehicles from July 1, the Ministry of Finance said.
