UBS analyst Colin Langan reiterated a Sell rating and $160 price target on Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) following the company's 'Secret Master Plan Part 2."

(Reuters) - Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) Chief Executive Elon Musk Wednesday unveiled an ambitious plan to expand the company into electric trucks and buses, car sharing and solar energy systems.

In a blog post titled "Master Plan, Part Deux," Musk sketched a vision of an integrated carbon-free energy enterprise offering a wider range of vehicles, and products and services beyond electric cars and batteries.

Tesla's data collection may help it deflect Autopilot liability

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The large volume of data Tesla Motors Inc collects from its cars on the road has armed it with information to publicly counter, and possibly legally defend, claims about the safety of its Autopilot driving-assist software, according to lawyers familiar with such cases.

Autopilot, available in Tesla's Model S and Model X vehicles, helps users steer and stay in lanes. It has come under increased scrutiny since a driver died in a May 7 Florida crash while using the semi-autonomous technology.

Daimler AG, Ferrari selling some new vehicles with faulty air bags: U.S. Senate report

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz USA and Daimler Vans units and Ferrari NV are among a small group of automakers selling some new vehicles with faulty Takata airbags that will be subject to recalls by the end of 2018, a U.S. Senate report said on Wednesday.

The vehicles are legal to sell since the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has said they will not become potentially unsafe until exposed to high humidity for an extended period. Safety advocates and some in Congress have criticized the sale of vehicles that will be recalled.
