Valspar Corp. (VAL) Tops Q3 EPS by 5c, Boosts Guidance

Valspar Corp. (NYSE: VAL) reported Q3 EPS of $1.21, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $1.16. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.19 billion.

Valspar Corp. sees FY2014 EPS of $4.05-$4.15, versus prior guidance of $3.95-$4.15 and the consensus of $4.09. Valspar sees sales growth of 9% vs 7%-9% prior.
