Bread Financial (NYSE: BFH) announced leadership changes in its commercial organization, with Chief Commercial Officer Valerie Greer set to retire and Dennis McCarthy promoted to a newly defined executive role.
Greer, who joined the company in 2020, will retire after nearly four decades in financial services. She will remain with Bread Financial through February 2027 to assist with the transition. During her tenure, she led expansions of the company's product suite, marketing, digital, and customer experience operations.
McCarthy will assume the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer in early September, joining the executive leadership team and reporting to President and CEO Ralph Andretta. McCarthy joined Bread Financial in 2021 and has been involved in partner relationship renewals, customer acquisition and retention, and data-driven marketing strategies.
Before joining Bread Financial, McCarthy spent nearly a decade at Citi managing prominent partnerships, and previously held leadership roles at Barclays and Bank of America.
"Val has been a driving force behind Bread Financial's growth over the past six years, shaping where the commercial organization is today and its path forward," Andretta said in a statement.
"Dennis is the right leader to take on expanded responsibilities that include shaping the next chapter of growth for our company," Andretta added.
Bread Financial, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, provides payment, lending, and saving products to U.S. consumers.
