Navico Group, a division of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC), announced operational updates at its Lowell, Michigan facility aimed at reducing fixed costs and improving efficiency.
As part of the changes, Land 'N' Sea, a separate Brunswick business, will use approximately 50,000 square feet of available space within the Lowell facility for distribution operations. Land 'N' Sea will retain its own leadership, operating model, and customer focus, and its headquarters will not relocate.
The updates include expanded insourcing, use of select outside partners, and closer collaboration with other Brunswick divisions. The company said these actions are expected to generate a multi-million-dollar savings opportunity.
Navico Group president Aine Denari said in a statement: "By better using our space and capabilities, and by working more closely across Brunswick, we can improve efficiency while continuing to support U.S.-based manufacturing."
Brunswick said the changes build on operational progress made at the Lowell facility over the past 18 months, including improvements in margin, productivity, safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
