NOV appoints Kennametal CEO Sanjay Chowbey to board of directors

NOV Inc. (NYSE: NOV) appointed Sanjay Chowbey to its board of directors, effective March 17, 2026, according to a company statement.
Chowbey serves as president and chief executive officer of Kennametal Inc. (NYSE: KMT), a manufacturer of tooling, wear-resistant materials, and engineered components. He also sits on Kennametal's board of directors.
"Sanjay brings a successful track record of leading high-quality global industrial companies and extensive experience driving manufacturing and operational excellence," said Jose Bayardo, NOV's chairman, president, and chief executive officer.
Chowbey has more than 20 years of experience in global manufacturing and industrial technology businesses. Before joining Kennametal, he held positions at Flowserve Corporation (NYSE: FLS), where he served as president of the Services and Solutions business, and worked at Danaher Corporation and Arvin Meritor, Inc.
He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from B.I.T. in Sindri, India, a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Technological University, and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Chowbey also serves on the board of directors for the National Association of Manufacturers.
Chowbey will serve on NOV's audit committee. With his appointment, NOV's board consists of nine directors, eight of whom are independent members.
