LB Pharmaceuticals names Christopher Zergebel as SVP of clinical ops

LB Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: LBRX) has appointed Christopher Zergebel as Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations, according to a press release from the biopharmaceutical company.

Zergebel brings more than 25 years of global development operations experience. He previously served as Vice President of Development Operations at Cellectis Biologics, where he led global clinical development strategy and operations from early-stage through post-approval trials. He holds a B.A. in Biology from Boston University.

The appointment comes as LB Pharmaceuticals advances multiple clinical programs for its lead candidate, LB-102. The company currently has a Phase 3 trial in schizophrenia and a Phase 2 trial in bipolar depression underway, with a Phase 2 trial in adjunctive major depressive disorder expected to begin early next year.

Heather Turner, Chief Executive Officer, said Zergebel's "deep operational expertise and ability to align strategy with execution will be instrumental as we advance LB-102 and continue to scale our organization."
