MiniMed (Nasdaq: MMED) announced on June 29, 2026, that David Endicott and Linnea Burman have joined its Board of Directors, expanding the board from nine to 11 members.
Endicott, who currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Alcon, has held that role since July 2018. He joined Alcon in July 2016 as Chief Operating Officer and led the company's spinout and return to public markets. Prior to Alcon, he served as President of Hospira Infusion Systems, a Pfizer company, and before that spent more than 25 years at Allergan in various leadership roles. He will serve on MiniMed's Compensation and Talent Committee.
Burman was designated to the board by Medtronic plc, which remains MiniMed's majority shareholder following the company's separation and IPO earlier in 2026. Burman currently serves as Senior Vice President and President, Neurovascular at Medtronic, where she has worked for more than 19 years in senior operating and strategic roles.
"David has done this before," said Que Dallara, Chief Executive Officer of MiniMed. "He brings decades of operating leadership across healthcare, deep public company experience, and firsthand knowledge of what it takes to lead through change and build for growth."
"I'm honored to join MiniMed's Board at this point in the company's journey," Endicott said. "MiniMed has a long track record in diabetes and a clear opportunity to make care simpler for more people."
