Ciena (CIEN) Tops Q3 EPS by 2c, Q4 Revenue Guidance Comes in Light

Ciena (NYSE: CIEN) reported Q3 EPS of $0.51, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.49. Revenue for the quarter came in at $728.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $726.84 million.

GUIDANCE:

Ciena sees Q4 2017 revenue of $720-750 million, versus the consensus of $770.4 million.

• Adjusted (non-GAAP) gross margin in the mid-40s percentage range
• Adjusted (non-GAAP) operating expense of approximately $240 million
