(Reuters) - Trading app Robinhood Markets is lowering the rate of interest it charges on its margin loans, it said on Tuesday, to encourage more customers to avail this facility that allows them to borrow against securities they hold.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - The former commander of Russia's 58th army, Ivan Popov, has been arrested on suspicion of "large scale fraud", state-run TASS agency reported on Tuesday.
TASS said a military court had ordered the detention of Major General Popov.
Lat year, Popov said he had been dismissed after telling the military leadership the truth about the then dire situation at the front in Ukraine.

(Reuters) - The U.S. securities regulator on Monday asked Nasdaq and CBOE to fine-tune their applications to list spot ether exchange-traded-funds (ETFs), signaling the agency may be poised to approve the filings, three people familiar with the process told Reuters.

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Moldova has signed a security and defence partnership with the European Union, the first country to make such a deal with the bloc, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Tuesday.
Led by pro-European President Maia Sandu, Moldova, which lies between Ukraine and NATO and EU member Romania, hopes to join the European Union by 2030 and has staunchly condemned Russia's full-scale invasion of neighbouring Ukraine.

CANNES, France (Reuters) - Donald Trump would likely be surprised by "The Apprentice," director Ali Abbasi said on Tuesday of his biopic about Trump's early years as a real estate mogul, adding he was open to meeting with the former U.S. president to discuss the film.
