Tesla Motors (TSLA) CEO Musk Will Donate $1 Million to the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe

Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk will make a $1 million donation to the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe.

There will also be a Supercharger station at the site in Shoreham, New York.

The announcement was made during Nikola Tesla's 158th birthday today.

Tesla (TSLA) to Benefit from China EV Tax Policy - Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank analyst Rod Lache notes Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) has received another boost from China in the form of taxes.

Lache notes, "On 9 July, the China State Council announced that the government will waive the purchase tax for electric vehicles (EVs and PHEVs), including imported New Energy Vehicles such as Teslas Model S. Since the auto purchase tax rate is equivalent to 10% of a car's price (excluding the 17% value-added tax), this represents a significant additional stimulus for Tesla demand in the worlds largest Auto market."
