S&P Raises Outlook on Devon Energy (DVN) to Stable; Sees Improvement in Credit Protection Measures
July 2, 2014 11:53 AM EDTStandard & Poor's Ratings Services said it revised its rating outlook on Oklahoma City-based Devon Energy (NYSE: DVN) to stable from negative and affirmed all of its ratings on the company, including the 'BBB+' corporate credit rating.
The rating action reflects expected improvement in Devon's credit protection measures due to the use of asset sale proceeds to repay a portion of debt incurred to fund the acquisition of Eagle Ford oil- and gas-producing assets in the first quarter of 2014. The... More
