City National Corporation Reports First-Quarter 2014 Net Income of $54.5 Million, Up 6 Percent From First-Quarter 2013
April 24, 2014 4:15 PM EDTLOS ANGELES, April 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- City National Corporation (NYSE: CYN), the parent company of wholly owned City National Bank, today reported first-quarter 2014 net income of $54.5 million, up 6 percent from $51.5 million in the year-ago period. Earnings per share were $0.90, compared to $0.90 per share in the first quarter of 2013. First-quarter 2014 earnings per share reflect dividend payments for preferred stock that was issued in November, 2013, as well as a higher share count than the same period a year ago.
