NASDAQ's (NDAQ) Greifeld Takes to the Airwaves; Says Was Not Hacked, Needs to Improve "Defensive Driving"

NASDAQ OMX (NASDAQ: NDAQ) CEO Robert Greifeld made the rounds on financial news networks early Friday, a day after trading on the exchange was halted for over 3-hours on a technical issue. Notably, Greifeld said that despite criticism he was proud of the firm's communication. He also said the company needs to improve its "defensive driving" in an effort to avoid issues at third-parties impacting the exchange. He said the shut-down was not the result of a hack. Greifeld would not lay blame on the NYSE Arca, or others, for the issue.
