Yesterday tech darling IBM (NYSE: IBM) reported Q1 results, and they weren't good. IBM missed consensus on both the top and the bottom line, leading analyst Bill Shope of Goldman Sachs to described the quarter as "very disappointing."

IBM (NYSE: IBM) reported Q1 EPS of $3.00, up 8% from last year but $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of $3.05. Revenue for the quarter fell 5%, or 3% adjusting for currency, to $23.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $24.69 billion.
