TERRE HAUTE, Ind., June 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hallador Energy Company (Nasdaq: HNRG) (Hallador or the Company) today announced that its subsidiary, Hallador Power Company, LLC (Hallador Power), was selected by the U.S. Department of Energys (DOE) Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office to begin award negotiations for up to $27.2 million, in potential federal funding to modernize the Merom Generating Station (MGS) located in Merom, Indiana.
