May 9, 2023 1:44 PM EDTU.S. electric automakers saw a decline in share prices Tuesday morning following cuts to production forecasts by Lucid Group Inc (NASDAQ: LCID) and Fisker Inc (NYSE: FSR), with Lucid sliding 9% in early trading.
Fisker shares were last down 5.3% after the company reported quarterly results. The company reported 1Q EPS of ($0.38), $0.08 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.30). May 9, 2023 8:11 AM EDTBarclays released a March EV report card as EV penetration reached 14%, up m/m and y/y, but still below elevated 4Q22. Analyst Dan Levy believes April is poised to be a slight step back in uptake, in-line with typical 1st month-of-quarter patterns. Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), however, had an impressive March share, benefiting from price cuts and an increased focus on low cost EVs exported from China.

Deliveries were down 14.7% compared to March, but a huge jump from a year earlier, when the city of Shanghai was in a COVID-19 lockdown. May 5, 2023 4:48 AM EDTBEIJING/SHANGHAI (Reuters) -Tesla Inc delivered 75,842 China-made electric vehicles (EVs) in April, down 14.7% from March, data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed on Friday.
The figure was however a huge jump from a year earlier, when the city of Shanghai - where Tesla has a factory - was in COVID-19 lockdown. In April last year, the company delivered only 1,512 China-made Model 3 and Model Y cars in the world's largest auto market.

Tesla resumes U.S. orders for a Model 3 version at lower price, range
May 3, 2023 12:57 AM EDT(Reuters) -Tesla Inc has resumed taking orders for its Model 3 long-range vehicle in the United States, the company's website showed late on Tuesday, after a temporary halt last year due to delivery backlogs.
The long-range version of the entry-level Model 3 is priced at $47,240 currently, about 18.5% less than the $57,990 it was priced at last August when Tesla halted taking orders in the United States and Canada.
