U.S. stocks pointed lower on Friday as investors weighed a series of corporate earnings, including results from technology giant Amazon.

April 28, 2023 7:14 AM EDTInvesting.com -- U.S. stocks are seen opening lower Friday, handing back some of the previous sessions hefty gains, as investors digest earnings from Amazon and Intel ahead of the release of key inflation data.
At 06:45 ET (10:45 GMT), the Dow Futures contract was down 130 points, or 0.4%, S&P 500 Futures traded 16 points, or 0.4%, lower and Nasdaq 100 Futures dropped 40 points, or 0.3%.

Exxon Mobil (XOM) Tops Q1 EPS by 23c
April 28, 2023 6:36 AM EDTExxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM) reported Q1 EPS of $2.83, $0.23 better than the analyst estimate of $2.60. Revenue for the quarter came in at $86.56 billion versus the consensus estimate of $82.66 billion.
