UMB Financial Corporation Reports Second Quarter Net Income of $137.6 Million

GAAP net income of $137.6 million, or $2.83 per diluted share. Operating pre-tax, pre-provision income (Operating PTPP, a non-GAAP financial measure) of $187.1 million, an increase of 56.7% compared to the first quarter of 2022. Average loan balances increased $1.5 billion, or 8.9% compared to the second quarter of 2021. Excluding Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) balances, average loans increased 23.3% on a linked-quarter, annualized basis. Average deposits grew 13.7% compared to the second quarter of 2021.
