Morgan Stanley analyst Erik Woodring notes that several mega-cap tech stocks are under-owned by major institutional portfolios.

The research showed that the spread between active institutional ownership and S&P 500 weighting for the largest technology companies (by market cap) AAPL, AMZN, FB, GOOGL, and MSFT was -80bps exiting 1Q22, while it was +22bps for the rest of large-cap tech.

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) has asked its suppliers to expedite iPhone development after strict lockdown measures in China impeded the schedule for at least one of the new iPhones, according to Nikkei Asia.

China introduced new lockdown measures a few months ago as a part of its zero-COVID policy, which forced iPhone manufacturer Pegatron Corp. to temporarily shut down operations at its Shanghai and Kunshan assembly plants.

Some parts of Shanghai, Chinas most populous city, still remain under lockdown as the countrys government intensifies its quarantine efforts.
