Facebook (FB): New Name Brings Increased Market Opportunity but Also Adds Risk of Capital Destruction - BofA
October 29, 2021 7:48 AM EDTFacebook (NASDAQ: FB) announced yesterday a major rebranding effort that will see the company change its name to Meta.
The aim behind the campaign is to better encompass and capture what the company is about, while also recognizing the growing importance and impact of platforms like Instagram and Whatsapp.
The Facebook name could not "possibly represent everything that we're doing today, let alone in the future, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said.
