Kronos Worldwide Reports First Quarter 2021 Results
May 5, 2021 4:15 PM EDTDallas, Texas, May 05, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kronos Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: KRO) today reported net income of $19.6 million, or $.17 per share, in the first quarter of 2021 compared to net income of $27.0 million, or $.23 per share, in the first quarter of 2020. Net income in the first quarter of 2021 was lower than in the first quarter of 2020 primarily due to lower income from operations resulting from the net effects of changes in currency exchange rates, higher sales volumes, lower production costs and slightly lower average TiO2 selling prices, as discussed below.
