Becton Dickinson (BDX) Tops Q1 EPS by $1.44, Revenues Beat; Raises FY21 EPS Guidance Above Consensus
February 4, 2021 6:06 AM ESTBecton Dickinson (NYSE: BDX) reported Q1 EPS of $4.55, $1.44 better than the analyst estimate of $3.11. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.32 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.88 billion.
First fiscal quarter revenues of $5.315 billion grew 25.8% on a reported basis. On a currency-neutral basis, revenues increased 24.3%.BD's COVID-19 testing sales of $867 million contributed 20.5 percentage points to revenue growth on a reported basis.
