Webster Reports Fourth Quarter 2020 Earnings of $0.64 Per Diluted Share
January 21, 2021 7:30 AM ESTWATERBURY, Conn., Jan. 21, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Webster Financial Corporation (NYSE: WBS), the holding company for Webster Bank, N.A. and its HSA Bank division, today announced earnings applicable to common shareholders of $57.7 million, or $0.64 per diluted share, for the quarter ended December 31, 2020, compared to $88.1 million, or $0.96 per diluted share, for the quarter ended December 31, 2019. Earnings per diluted share would have been $0.99 for the quarter ended December 31, 2020, adjusting for $42.0 million ($31.2 million after tax) of charges related to strategic optimization initiatives.
