July 22, 2020 4:00 PM EDTWALLA WALLA, Wash., July 22, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Banner Corporation (NASDAQ GSM: BANR) ("Banner"), the parent company of Banner Bank and Islanders Bank, today reported net income of $23.5 million, or $0.67 per diluted share, for the second quarter 2020, compared to $16.9 million, or $0.47 per diluted share, in the preceding quarter and $39.7 million, or $1.14 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2019. Banner's second quarter earnings reflect the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in all the western states that Banner operates.
