Commercial Metals Company Reports Second Quarter Fiscal 2020 Results
March 19, 2020 6:45 AM EDTIRVING, Texas, March 19, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Commercial Metals Company (NYSE: CMC) today announced financial results for its fiscal second quarter ended February 29, 2020. Second quarter earnings from continuing operations were $63.6 million, or $0.53 per diluted share, on net sales of $1.3 billion, compared to prior year period earnings from continuing operations of $14.9 million, or $0.13 per diluted share, on net sales of $1.4 billion. Gross margin increased by 45% year-over-year, while total shipment volumes grew 2% over the same period.
