The New York Times Company Reports 2019 Fourth-Quarter and Full-Year Results and Announces Dividend Increase
February 6, 2020 7:00 AM ESTNEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT) announced today fourth-quarter 2019 diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of $.41 compared with $.33 in the same period of 2018. Adjusted diluted earnings per share from continuing operations (defined below) was $.43 in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared with $.32 in the fourth quarter of 2018.
Operating profit increased to $78.0 million in the fourth quarter of 2019 from $74.7 million in the same period of 2018 and adjusted operating profit (defined below) increased to $96.3 million from $94.0 million in the prior year, as higher digital-only subscription and other revenues were...
