Commerce Bancshares, Inc. Reports Fourth Quarter Earnings Per Share of $.93
January 22, 2020 6:00 AM ESTKANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Commerce Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBSH) announced earnings of $.93 per common share for the three months ended December 31, 2019, compared to $.91 per share in the same quarter last year and $.93 per share in the prior quarter. Net income attributable to Commerce Bancshares, Inc. for the fourth quarter of 2019 amounted to $106.9 million, compared to $109.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2018 and $109.2 million in the prior quarter. For the quarter, the return on average assets was 1.65%, the return on average common equity was 13.9% and the efficiency ratio was 56.3%.
