The New York Times Company Reports 2019 Third-Quarter Results
November 6, 2019 7:00 AM ESTNEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT) announced today third-quarter 2019 diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of $.10 compared with $.15 in the same period of 2018. Adjusted diluted earnings per share from continuing operations (defined below) was $.12 in the third quarter of 2019 compared with $.15 in the third quarter of 2018.
Operating profit decreased to $25.1 million in the third quarter of 2019 from $41.4 million in the same period of 2018 and adjusted operating profit (defined below) decreased to $44.1 million from $53.7 million in the prior year, as higher costs and lower advertising revenues more than... More
