Kirby Corp. (KEX) Tops Q3 EPS by 8c, Revenues Miss; Narrows FY19 EPS Guidance
October 25, 2019 7:05 AM EDTKirby Corp. (NYSE: KEX) reported Q3 EPS of $0.80, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.72. Revenue for the quarter came in at $666.81 million versus the consensus estimate of $724.17 million.
David Grzebinski, Kirbys President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, During the third quarter, our marine transportation business delivered strong results with significant sequential and year-on-year improvement in profitability. In distribution and services, activity continued to decline as a result of the ongoing cyclical downturn in the oilfield markets and our customers focus on near-term cash flow.
