Service Corp (SCI) Reports In-Line Q2 EPS; Raises FY19 EPS Mid-Point Outlook
July 29, 2019 4:30 PM EDTService Corp (NYSE: SCI) reported Q2 EPS of $0.47, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.47. Revenue for the quarter came in at $812.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $811 million.
Quarterly Summary:
Diluted earnings per share were $0.39 in the second quarter of 2019 compared to $0.55 in the second quarter of 2018. The $0.16 decrease was primarily due to a $7.6 million loss on early extinguishment of debt, a $18.7 million change in net losses on divestiture and impairment charges, and a $7.5 million increase in income taxes compared to the prior year quarter.
