Vulcan Announces First Quarter 2019 Results
May 2, 2019 8:01 AM EDTBIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Vulcan Materials Company (NYSE: VMC), the nation's largest producer of construction aggregates, today announced results for the quarter ended March 31, 2019.
Net earnings were $63 million and Adjusted EBITDA was $193 million in the first quarter. The 15 percent growth in Adjusted EBITDA was driven by strong aggregates shipments, up 13 percent year-over-year, and a 5.4 percent increase in aggregates pricing.Â
