Garmin reports fiscal year 2018 revenue and strong operating income growth; proposes dividend increase

SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN News) today announced results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended December 29, 2018.

Highlights for the fourth quarter 2018 include:

Total revenue of $932 million, a 4% increase, with aviation, marine, outdoor and fitness collectively increasing 13% over the prior year quarter Gross margin improved to 58.9% compared to 56.1% in the prior year quarter Operating margin improved to 23.9% compared to 20.4% in the prior year quarter Operating income of $223 million, representing 21% growth over the prior year...
