(NYSE: THG) today reported net income of $100.4 million, or $2.33 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2018, compared to $11.1 million, or $0.26 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter. Operating income(1) was $84.9 million, or $1.97 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2018, and includes a one-time tax benefit of $4.3 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, primarily related to a pension plan contribution made during the quarter.
