Third Quarter 2018 Record Results Reported by Amphenol Corporation
October 24, 2018 8:00 AM EDTWALLINGFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Amphenol Corporation (NYSE: APH) reported today GAAP Diluted Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the third quarter 2018 of $1.01 compared to $0.88 for the comparable 2017 period. GAAP Diluted EPS for the third quarter 2018 includes an excess tax benefit of approximately $7 million ($0.02 per share) related to stock options exercised during the quarter compared to approximately $17 million ($0.05 per share) for the comparable 2017 period. Excluding the effect of this item, Adjusted Diluted EPS1 for the third quarter 2018 was a record $0.99 compared to $0.83 for the third quarter of 2017.
