Seven international banks agree to launch digital trade finance network

MADRID (Reuters) - Seven banks, including HSBC and Banco Santander (NYSE: SAN), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a global digital network in trade finance aiming at allowing cheaper and easier funding for corporates, a Santander manager said on Wednesday.

(Reuters) - Wall Street's top investment banks reported better-than-expected quarterly profits on Tuesday, helped by strength in stock trading and equity underwriting, wrapping up what has been a strong quarter for the big U.S. banks.

(Reuters) - Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) will limit loan growth in one of its new business areas if it sees a marked deterioration in credit quality, potentially jeopardizing new Chief Executive David Solomon's task of boosting revenue by $5 billion by 2020.
