Southern Company reports second-quarter 2018 results
August 8, 2018 7:00 AM EDTATLANTA, Aug. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern Company today reported a second quarter 2018 loss of $154 million, or 15 cents per share, compared with a loss of $1.38 billion, or $1.38 per share, in the second quarter of 2017. For the six months ended June 30, 2018, Southern Company reported earnings of $784 million, or 77 cents per share, compared with a loss of $723 million, or 73 cents per share, for the same period in 2017.
