CenterPoint Energy reports second quarter 2018 net loss of $0.17 per diluted share; $0.30 earnings per diluted share on a guidance basis, excluding costs associated with the pending merger with Vectre
August 3, 2018 6:30 AM EDTHOUSTON, Aug. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --Â CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CNP) today reported a net loss of $75 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2018, compared with net income of $135 million, or $0.31 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2017. On a guidance basis and excluding $34 million of pre-tax costs associated with the pending merger with Vectren, second quarter 2018 earnings were $0.30 per diluted share, consisting of $0.20 from utility operations and $0.10 from midstream investments.
