The New York Times Company Reports 2018 First-Quarter Results
May 3, 2018 8:30 AM EDTNEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT) announced today first-quarter 2018 diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of $.13 compared with $.08 earnings per share in the same period of 2017. Adjusted diluted earnings per share from continuing operations (defined below) was $.17 in the first quarter of 2018 compared with $.10 in the first quarter of 2017.
Operating profit rose to $34.1 million in the first quarter of 2018 from $27.8 million in the same period of 2017, principally driven by strong digital subscription revenues, which were partially offset by higher operating costs and lower print advertising revenues. Adjusted operating... More
