Murphy Oil Corporation Announces Preliminary Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2017 Financial and Operating Results, 2018 Capital Investment Program
January 31, 2018 5:30 PM ESTEL DORADO, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Murphy Oil Corporation (NYSE: MUR) today announced its financial and operating results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2017, including a net loss from continuing operations of $285 million, or $1.65 per diluted share. The fourth quarter loss included a $274 million charge associated with U.S. tax reform.
The companys income from continuing operations before income taxes, was $2 million in the fourth quarter, and $72 million for the full year 2017. Financial highlights for the fourth quarter and full year 2017 include:
