Nomura/Instinet raised its price target on MasterCard (NYSE: MA) to $164.00 (from $163.00) while maintaining a Buy rating following a solid beat.
Analyst Bill Carcache notes shares traded down despite the beat on concerns over MAs updated disclosures surrounding the potential for fines relating to European interregional interchange fees.

(Reuters) - Mastercard Inc (NYSE: MA) on Tuesday posted a record profit and trounced Wall Street expectations, as it battled for consumers and global market share over other payment channels including its bigger rival Visa Inc (NYSE: V).
More people used credit, debit and commercial prepaid cards across Mastercard's global network - pushing the value of transactions processed - known as 'gross dollar volume', up 11 percent to $1.35 trillion.

MasterCard (NYSE: MA) reported Q3 EPS of $1.34, $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of $1.23. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.28 billion.
