SCANA Reports Financial Results for Third Quarter of 2017
October 26, 2017 7:30 AM EDTCAYCE, S.C., Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- SCANA Corporation (NYSE: SCG) today announced earnings for the third quarter of 2017 of $34 million, or earnings per share of 24 cents, compared to $189 million, or earnings per share of $1.32, for the third quarter of 2016. For the first nine months of 2017, SCANA reported earnings of $326 million, or earnings per share of $2.28, compared to $471 million, or earnings per share of $3.29, for the same period in 2016. These decreases are primarily attributable to an impairment loss of $210 million ($132 million, net of taxes), or earnings per share of 92 cents, associated with the abandoned new nuclear project....
