Worthington Reports First Quarter Fiscal 2018 Results
September 27, 2017 8:30 AM EDTCOLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 27, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Worthington Industries, Inc. (NYSE: WOR) today reported net sales of $848.2 million and net earnings of $45.5 million, or $0.70 per diluted share, for its fiscal 2018 first quarter ended August 31, 2017.  Net earnings in the quarter included pre-tax restructuring charges totaling $2.3 million, which reduced earnings per diluted share by $0.03. In the first quarter of fiscal 2017, the Company reported net sales of $737.5 million and net earnings of $65.6 million, or $1.02 per diluted share. Net earnings in the first quarter of fiscal 2017 were aided by significant inventory holding gains and included pre-tax restructuring charges...
