Twitter says its controls are weeding out users advocating violence

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR) said that its internal controls were allowing it to weed out accounts being used for the "promotion of terrorism" earlier rather than responding to government requests to close them down.
U.S. and European governments have been pressuring social media companies including Twitter, Facebook Inc (NASDAQ: FB) and Alphabet Inc's (NASDAQ: GOOGL) Google to fight harder against online radicalization, particularly by violent Islamist groups.

Ex-SAC trader says he forgot facts, seeks to void insider trading plea

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A former trader at billionaire Steven A. Cohen's former hedge fund SAC Capital Advisors LP wants to withdraw his 2013 insider trading guilty plea, saying he had forgotten about two instant messages that show he committed no crime.
Richard Lee said in Monday court filings that the messages uncovered in the last few months demonstrated how his purchase of 725,000 Yahoo Inc shares on July 10, 2009 was based on public information.
The plea was part of a cooperation agreement with prosecutors.
