DryShips (DRYS) Commences Rights Offering

(NASDAQ: DRYS) today announced the commencement of its previously announced rights offering (the "Rights Offering") of shares of common stock, par value $0.01 per share ("Common Stock"). The Rights Offering is being made through the pro-rata distribution of non-transferrable subscription rights to purchase, in the aggregate, up to 36,363,636 shares of Common Stock at a subscription price of $2.75 per share, to shareholders of the Company on August 31, 2017 (the "Record Date"), resulting in gross proceeds of up to $100 million.
