VMware Reports Preliminary Results for Fiscal 2018 Second Quarter
August 14, 2017 8:45 AM EDTPALO ALTO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/14/17 -- VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a global leader in cloud infrastructure and business mobility, today announced preliminary financial results for its fiscal 2018 second quarter.
Preliminary Q2 Fiscal 2018 Results
Revenue for the second quarter is expected to be between $1.894 billion and $1.906 billion, an increase of 11.9% to 12.6% from the second quarter of 2016. License revenue for the second quarter is expected to be between $727 million and $737 million, an increase of 12.9% to 14.4% from the second quarter of 2016.

VMware Announces Offering of Senior Notes
August 14, 2017 8:45 AM EDTPALO ALTO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/14/17 -- VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW) announced today an offering of senior notes.
VMware intends to use the net proceeds from the offering of the notes to (i) fund the additional purchase of up to $1.0 billion of its Class A common stock over the next 12 months, pursuant to a stock repurchase program authorized by VMware's board of directors and (ii) to repay promissory notes in the aggregate principal amount of $1.23 billion, which were issued to EMC (an affiliate of VMware) in connection with a note exchange agreement on...
