Boston Beer Reports Second Quarter 2017 Results
July 27, 2017 4:15 PM EDTBOSTON, July 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Boston Beer Company, Inc. (NYSE: SAM) reported second quarter 2017 net revenue of $247.9 million, an increase of $3.1 million or 1%, from the same period last year.  Net income for the second quarter was $29.1 million, or $2.35 per diluted share, an increase of $2.5 million or $0.29 per diluted share, from the second quarter of 2016. This increase was primarily due to increases in net revenue and an increase in gross margin that were partially offset by increased advertising, promotional and selling expenses.
