Westamerica Bancorporation Reports Second Quarter 2017 Financial Results
July 20, 2017 10:59 AM EDTSAN RAFAEL, Calif., July 20, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Westamerica Bancorporation (Nasdaq: WABC), parent company of Westamerica Bank, generated net income for the second quarter 2017 of $15.8 million and diluted earnings per common share ("EPS") of $0.60, compared to first quarter 2017 net income of $15.0 million and EPS of $0.57 and second quarter 2016 net income of $14.5 million and EPS of $0.57. Second quarter 2017 results include a $1.9 million reversal of provision for loan losses which accounted for $0.04 of the quarters EPS.
