(Reuters) - KKR & Co LP (NYSE: KKR), the private equity firm founded and headed by Henry Kravis and George Roberts, said on Monday it had appointed Joseph Bae and Scott Nuttall as co-presidents and co-chief operating officers, setting them up as its future leaders.
The move represents the biggest shakeup in the 41-year-old firm's history since KKR's other co-founder, Jerome Kohlberg Jr, left it in 1987. It positions Bae and Nuttall to take over from Kravis and Roberts when the 73-year-olds decide to step down.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks closed little changed in low volume on Monday as gains in utilities and consumer stocks offset declines in healthcare, with earnings news filtering out winners and losers across the board.
BlackRock shares (NYSE: BLK) fell 3.1 percent to $424.63 after the world's biggest asset manager's quarterly profit came in below expectations.

Lack of voting rights may keep Snap, others from MSCI indexes

BOSTON (Reuters) - MSCI Inc has proposed leaving shares of Snap Inc (NYSE: SNAP) and other companies including Eaton Vance Corp (NYSE: EV) out of stock indexes because they lack voting rights, a sign of the rising skepticism facing corporate structures that boost the power of insiders.
In a paper sent to clients in June, MSCI (NYSE: MSCI) said its proposal aimed "to address the growing concern pertaining to listings of only non-voting shares," and invited feedback.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Copper prices surged to their highest levels in more than four months after robust data supporting China's economic growth, while a gauge of global stocks marked a record high for a third straight session.
China's economy expanded at a faster-than-expected 6.9 percent clip in the second quarter, setting the country on course to comfortably meet its 2017 growth target.
The U.S. dollar fell to a 10-month low against a basket of currencies before steadying, while oil prices shed about 1 percent.
